The WRITING's on the WALL

The paintings in "The Writing's on the Wall"" were completed over the year of 2013. They reflect a desire to understand human nature and to capture sage reminders from the past.
Some of the text in the paintings has been gathered from historical writings.

Some, like "Wild Seeds" has been taken from rural graffiti spotted from the main highway outside Dannevirke - all of it, I have found inspirational and thought provoking.
The text forms an integral part of the works and the painted image has been constructed around the meaning of the words. Without it these pictures would be interpreted quite differently.
